But despite the fact prescription medication can be purchased online at a fraction of the cost charged in a veterinary clinic, only 13% of owners regularly do so.  This reluctance is mostly driven by fear and confusion, justifiably so given 1 in 10 owners have bought fake medication online.

Petscribers beta release features a "safe search" function, that provides access to verified, government-approved suppliers enabling easy price comparison of prescription medication.  We will then develop dashboards tailored to individual pets and owners, providing personalised insights and resources.  This streamlined process will reduce the mental load for owners of pets with long-term health conditions, by providing stress-free medication management and notifications that help owners stay on top of complex medication schedules.

The companion animal medicine market in the UK is worth $420 million and is rapidly growing with a CAGR of 6.94%. The global market is growing at an even faster rate and currently stands at an estimate $22 billion.

We have launched the beta for closed testing, having built an innovative, comprehensive pet medication database.  We have a diverse team of knowledgeable and experienced advisors, 97 users awaiting the open beta launch, affiliate schemes agreed with 3 accredited-pharmacies, and open lines of communication with another 4 (together representing approximately 75% of the online market).  Petscribers is also trademark approved as of September 2024.  Finally, prior to even launching, we have already been independently approached by several pharmaceutical companies with interest in our platform, and the end-user data it could provide them.
